From a9f370bdac1ca2547c26c12f64cc7783fee72d4d Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: James Dansereau <106631954+jkdansereau@users.noreply.github.com> Date: Wed, 16 Sep 2026 16:20:25 -0400 Subject: [PATCH] cleanup: strip dead GE_D255 correlation probe from objFree D255 was root-caused and fixed for real at M-140 (a 32-bit pointer truncation in vtxstore_fix_refs, not a destroy-path race). This objFree/getenv("GE_D255") trace was a correlation aid for the now-superseded race hypothesis and never fires against the real fix; HANDOFF already flagged it as strip-candidate scaffolding. The vtxstore.c comment documenting the actual fix is untouched. --- src/game/propobj.c | 22 ---------------------- 1 file changed, 22 deletions(-) diff --git a/src/game/propobj.c b/src/game/propobj.c index 61a437eb..1c38e18b 100644 --- a/src/game/propobj.c +++ b/src/game/propobj.c @@ -929,28 +929,6 @@ void objFree(ObjectRecord* obj, s32 freeprop, s32 canregen) { PropRecord *child; -#ifdef PORT - /* TEMP D255 (M-140): correlate objFree calls against the vtxstore.c - * D255 probe's "NULL model on active OBJ record" log by prop/obj - * pointer identity.
